City Boards, Commissions and Committees



The City of Oakdale encourages residents to apply for positions on city boards, commissions and committees.  The City’s various boards, commissions and committees are established by Municipal Code or City Council direction.  Citizens are encouraged to seek positions when vacancies are announced.


SENIOR CITIZEN ADVISORY COMMISSION – 1 Vacancy to fill an unexpired term

Position:   Senior Advisory Commissioner

Term:  Expires 04/2024

Meeting Schedule: Every other Month on the Third Tuesday at 2:00 p.m.

Mission: Recommends to the City Council regarding programs, needed facilities, housing, recreation, and health and nutritional needs affecting seniors in the community.

Membership/Qualifications: A seven-member commission with four-year overlapping terms. Members of this commission may serve only three terms. Five members shall be residents of the city of Oakdale. Two members may be non-residents of the city but live in Oakdale.  Five members shall be at least sixty years of age.


Indication of Commission/Board/Committee Interest Forms can be obtained below or by visiting City Hall, located at 280 North Third Avenue, Oakdale.  Applications for the vacancies will be accepted through Monday, September 25, 2023 by 5:30 p.m.

The Local Appointments List is published pursuant to California Government Code §54972 (posted on or before December 31 of each year) and contains a list of all regular and ongoing boards, commissions and committees which are appointed by the legislative body of the local agency and their term dates.
